REFEREE CASHIER
This job involves tracking
and documenting games played by referees, and then distributing the pay to the
referees for their games played.
Referees are paid both days for their games played. They are normally paid after noon on Saturday
and all day on Sunday.
This job entails recording
the referee payouts on an envelope from the official tournament game cards for
each game played. The correct amount of
pay for each game is then put into the envelope and filed alphabetically. Once the referee comes in to be paid, the
person checks the referee’s schedule against the envelope to ensure that they
agree. The cashier then counts the
money for the assigned games to the referee and has him/her sign the pay
envelope as a receipt of funds. The
envelopes are our receipt of their payment and are kept and turned into the
treasurer.
This job also assists the
scorer in the administrative area in recording team scores and calculating
points.
This position involves money
handling and will be on site for the 2 days of the tournament.
This position handles the
scoring, game cards, player cards for the site. It entails ensuring the game cards turned in by the Field
Marshals are completed correctly – and that
player infractions are duly noted. If
red cards were issued for a game – this person holds those player cards until
the sit-outs necessary are completed and documented on the game card. If they are not documented, the player cards
are held and turned over to the tournament director. This job also includes recording the scores and points from the
official game cards. These cards are
also used to record the referee payouts.
The scorer also posts the official game results on the scoreboards. The scorer communicates with the awards area
when a champion and second place team is determined so the art award and medals
can be presented as quickly as possible.
This job also assists the
referee cashier in recording the referee payouts.
