SITE DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

The site directors are vital to the operation of the tournament. They should work to share the work load with the Assistant Site Director.

• Attend Site Director Meetings prior to tournament
• Meet the athletic director/custodial contact at the school to establish a working relationship.
• Oversee tournament operation at assigned location. Keep Tournament Director apprised of any issues, serious injuries throughout the tournament.
• Recruits and organizes volunteers for needed positions from the Ranger teams assigned to play at that site. A list of positions is in the notebook. The positions must be filled for both days.
• Coordinate with logistic director to obtain necessary tents, trailers, tables, chairs, heaters, porta-pots, nets, etc for your site.
• Coordinate operation of games for both days of tournament. Be onsite to handle any incidents, assist with whatever might come up. Help ensure the games remain on schedule.
• Award Teams their medals and trophies following the completion of brackets.
• Complete Injury Report, Yellow/Red Card Reports, and any other necessary reports.
• Attend Site Director meeting Sunday evening following tournament to hand in reports, money, referee pay-out receipts, game cards.
• Complete End-of-Tournament Report outlining issues, improvement suggestions. Turn in tub of equipment – clean and organized for next year. Itemize anything missing or that needs to be replaced.

This positions involves a 3 day commitment as someone will need to be at the site the Friday before the tournament to oversee the setup of trailers, tents, goals, nets, porta-pots. These responsibilities can and should be shared with the Assistant Tournament Director.

This positions requires an organized person who can handle issues calmly as they arise. Diplomacy is key! This is a very visible position among the tournament participants and is an ambassador for both Pueblo and the Rangers.

ASSISTANT SITE DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

This is also vital role – as the workload of Site Director needs to be shared.

· Assist director with filling volunteer positions at the site.

· Assist director with field and site set up.

· Assist director with clarifying tournament rules and volunteer organization.

· Assist Scorer with Record yellow and/or red cards that were given during games.

· Assist Referee Payout with referee pay distribution for each game.

· Basically just assist with whatever is needed!

This positions involves at least a 2 day commitment and works closely with the Site Director, Referee Pay-out, and Scorer.
